Wellness

The Middle School has quarterly Wellness classes in grades six, seven and eight.  I taught sixth grade which deals with peer pressure, feelings, and communication.  There was also a section on community service.

Inside and outside of Wellness, I have tried to instill a sense of community service with my students.  My art students have made alphabet charts for schools in need.  And, my sixth graders have had the best fund raiser I have ever seen kids sponsor.  Selling chocolate hugs and kisses two at a time, they have raised enough money to pay for over twenty eye operations for Filipino children in need.
